Sarett Consulting

Who We Are

The Sarett team is led by President Chuck Johnson. We measure our success in the successes of our clients - in their financings, in their customer wins, in their technology innovations and, finally, in their exits to a strategic or financial buyer.  We take pride in our contributions and in the fact that our clients view us as a true business partner, able to contribute with the same level of resilience and determination as the founders and the other members of senior management.

Sarett was established in 1999, and since that time has helped drive over $250m in investments into companies in which he has served as fractional CFO.  More importantly, the companies Chuck has worked with have been sold for an aggregate of nearly $1 billion over that time, and Chuck has served proficiently in the post-transaction role necessary to complete the cycle.

Chuck founded Sarett Consulting with years of entrepreneurial, operational and financial experience in start-up and early stage companies.  Clients include a range of Internet, Software, BioTech and MedTech companies.

Prior to working with clients through Sarett, Chuck held a number of senior leadership positions in emerging growth companies:

  • Chuck was the co-founder of The FeedRoom, Inc., a pioneer in Over-The-Top (OTT) Internet Video applications and services to the media industry as well as to the corporate / enterprise market. The Company was sold to Kit Digital (now Piksel, Inc.). Chuck served as COO/CFO and also as Senior Vice President, Business and Corporate Development for the Company.

  • Chuck also served as Chief Financial Officer / Senior Vice President Finance, Information Systems and Administration for Knowledge Alliance Holdings, Inc., a technical training and consulting company with operations throughout the United States and Canada. During his tenure at KAH, the Company experienced annual revenue growth from roughly $12 million to over $40 million through a combination of internal growth and an aggressive acquisition strategy.

  • As COO and CFO of start-up BondNet Trading Systems, Inc., the first real-time trading and online execution system created for the fixed-income markets, Chuck leveraged early experience in implementing and using technology for change management to help transform a telephone-based trading world to a computer based experience. Chuck also served on the Board of Directors at BondNet.  The Company was successfully sold to The Bank of New York (NYSE: BK).

Chuck received his Masters in Business Administration from the University of Southern California  and his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from California State University - Los Angeles
